Job description

As User Growth Specialist, youʼll be responsible for publishing or involving in the creation of various types of content for Cookpad Thailand like social media posts, blog posts, web pages/application, videos and newsletter to emphasise the impact of home cooking to Thai people and build brand awareness of Cookpad. This is a contract position and the successful candidate will be able to work remotely if necessary.


As User Growth Specialist, you'll be responsible for publishing various types of content for Cookpad Thailand like social media posts, blog posts, web pages/application, videos and newsletter. You’ll need a deep understanding of home cooks and to be passionate about everyday home cooking and solving everyday problems of Thai home cooks, as we’re not looking for cooking content ideas just for entertainment. With your initiatives or content strategies, you’ll be producing marketing copy to advertise our products, writing blog posts with SEO concepts, and creating our insightful home cooking and community-friendly contents on social media, together with our graphic designer and local research team. Ultimately, you will help us reach our target audience by delivering both useful and valuable information that meet the needs of Thai home cooks, to generate high quality engagement, traffic and conversion.

Cookpadʼs mission is to make everyday cooking fun and to help as many people as possible to discover the benefits and joy of home cooking. To-date, all of our Thailand growth has been organic and we've done very little PR & external communications. However, we're now ready to proactively tell our story, to help people to discover Cookpad in new places and we're looking for a passionate and enthusiastic food and cooking lover to help us along the way.

  • Work with the team to provide and apply key insights or storytelling approach in everyday home cooking contents, based on Thai home cooks’ needs, to capture the right interests or focus on engaging with communities in the right place and right timing, including but not limited to social media posts, blog posts, web pages/application, videos and newsletters 
  • Create/localise/translate product or marketing related copy to create the best user experience and spread our company and product’s values
  • Promote contents on social networks and monitor engagement and measure web traffic to content
  • Conduct keyword research and use SEO guidelines to optimize content and update our websites and applications as needed
  • Coordinate closely with local team members including graphic designer to create media plan and managing all communications channels and content calendar
  • Support Cookpad’s local and global team to achieve community’s goal as required

What we are looking for:

  • Passion for the world of cooking and for improving the world
  • Strong understanding of home cooking and enthusiastic in updating home cooking trends in Thailand and solving their problems around everyday cooking
  • Exceptional editorial, copywriting, proofreading skills in Thai language
  • Exceptional translation skills between English and Thai.
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Familiar with digital product space and eager to explore new digital tools or channels
  • Possess initiatives with ability to work with “Build-Measure-Learn” approach
  • Fast-learning, self-driven, detail and result oriented, prompt response and adaptable.
  • Teamwork

Desirable experience:

  • +1 year experience in content creating, content editing or copywriting with proven records
  • Proven writing or content creating experience related to cooking will be highly preferred
  • Experience in managing social media contents on various communication channels
  • Experience in working with graphic designers 
  • Experience in an association, digital services, start-up or innovative idea that contributes to responsible consumption or sustainability will be valued
  • Work experience in the environment of an international team is a plus
  • Understanding of UX is a plus
